World Water Day 2010.

When Bubbles first came home, the idea of free flowing water AMAZED her. You mean there is REALLY always water? Every time you turn on the tap? She bathed in warm water and washed her hands after using the toilet. She was amazed. When Bubbles arrived in the U.S. she had Giardia, an illness that comes from drinking poor quality water. She was malnourished, dehydrated and had terrible diarrhea. Clean water is so important.

If you don’t believe me, watch this video. These kids have it so much worse then Bubbles ever did. It’s graphic, but it will spur you to donate in honor of World Water Day.

–FullPlateMom,
who is going to pour herself a glass of clean water and give a prayer of thanks.
