Do You Believe in Magic?

We spent 14 hours in our oversized 12 passenger van yesterday…with 8 kids.

When I tell people that we’re doing this, they raise an eyebrow and look at me like I’m even more insane than they thought I was for having eight kids in the first place.

Our stroller broke.

This was the biggest tragedy of the day.

I think we did all right.

We take these vacations because we don’t want our kids to feel like they are the freak family with a whole bunch of kids who never did anything or went anywhere because of how many siblings they have.  We know that not every large family is blessed enough to have the means to do this.  We are very grateful.

My older kids will be allowed to tour behind the scenes at the Magic Kingdom this year too, a special gift to celebrate how brave they are for just being who they are.  There was so much excited chatter in the car yesterday that I couldn’t help but smile as I overheard all their ‘theories’ on how the rides work.  Magic came up as a possible explanation several times.

I love that they believe there is magic in the world.

I do too babies, I do too.

who is ready to make some more.
