When She Sleeps.

All photos on this blog are courtesy of a Nikon D3100 camera that has been provided for the FullPlateFamily in exchange for photo credits and user reviews of accessories.  I have always used a Nikon camera, but never properly.  Thanks to some really great upgrades and proper instruction, my pictures are so much more crisp and I can capture my baby’s faces so much better, before they are no longer babies.

Our little Dolly still sleeps in a junior bed in our room.  Every night I tuck her in and then sit right next to her while she falls asleep.  I usually work on my laptop, and she sleeps next to me, harshly (but less so than before) breathing in and out.

I grabbed the camera last night right after she fell asleep, her Elmo tatted arm with chubby fingers extended from it, laid next to her perfect little face.

I think every mama around the globe looks at their sleeping baby and thanks the heavens for the blessing that is their child.  I know a mama who is tucking her little broken-hearted Chinese wonder in every night and thinking about how this could be the last time she does this outside of a hospital.

Life is so fragile, especially for certain babies.  This mama is one intensely private person, but she could use your prayers for the daughter she moved heaven and earth to bring home, the one we didn’t even know if China would let know the love of a family.

There is a small chance that this little girl might make it until she can be listed for, and receive, a new heart.  But, that might not be the best for her quality of life.  Her mama, daddy, and she know best.  Time will tell.  During this critical period, I’m asking each one of you to send up a good thought or prayer for Dolly’s soul sister’s little sister and for the family that loves her so much.

–FullPlateMom,
whose heart is breaking just a little too for this tiny princess.
